Biography

Shell is an evangelist, singer, songwriter, speaker and author. Her passion is to get people of all ages excited about God and to let the world know that He is head-over-heels in love with every single one of us. Her bubbly personality and powerful life-story challenge and inspire the hearts of many. She is married to Tim and lives in Warrington, Cheshire, UK.

She became a Christian at the age of 15 whilst suffering with an eating disorder and after being told that she had only 8 weeks left to live, God miraculously healed her and transformed her life. In 2002 at the age of 17, she began working in the schools of Liverpool, UK. She was part of an exciting schools band called 'Collective' that visited young people in secondary schools and told them about Jesus. 2 years later she became a member of an all girl pop band called 'tbc'.

During her time in 'tbc' she saw over 3000 people come to know Jesus and released an album and dvd. She had her first book, 'In These Shoes?!' published in April 2004 and her second book, 'Something to Shout About' published in June 2006. Her third book, 'The Something to Shout About Journal' was published in December 2007 and her autobiography, 'Made to be Me' was published in April 2009.

In July 2007, Shell released her debut solo EP, and her debut album, 'Have You Heard?' came out in April 2008. She currently spends most of her time song-writing, speaking and performing all over the UK and beyond. She also presents her very own radio show every Tuesday at 9pm called 'Girl's Night In' on Cross Rhythms Radio and has recently been appointed as a trustee for Girls Brigade Ministries.

Going on holiday, having my hair done, interior design, candles and fairy lights, bbq's, going to Ikea, pampering sessions, parties, going to the beach, lip gloss, strawberries and the occasional glass of red wine.

Things you don't like:
Sea weed, fish, peppers, ironing, getting up really early, bugs and insects, grapefruit, wasps, flying, going to the dentist's, injections, having a dirty car, fish hooks and world poverty.

Most embarrassing moment:
There are lots of them, but there was one particular time when I was in a school and I asked a little boy to come out to the front and it was actually a little girl!! Ooooops! That’s closely followed by my trousers ripping on stage in front of loads of people!

Kylie Minogue, Karen Carpenter (she was a singer in the 70's), Christina Aguilara, Kelly Clarkson, Gary Barlow, and a load of my friends... and God (obviously!!)

Summer or winter:
Winter because I love wearing scarves and woolly jumpers … oh and I love Christmas time because you get Gingerbread lattes at Starbucks! I love summer too because you get to sunbathe! I don't know… I'm torn!

Pepsi or Coca-cola:
Neither because I'm allergic to them both.

McDonald's or Burger King:
Oooooh, that's a difficult one. I think I'm going to have to say McDonalds.

Tea or coffee:
Ugh, I hate coffee. There's nothing better than a good cup of English tea.

English or maths:
Definitely English.
